Prairie Action North Dakota Institute is excited to announce the launch of our Reproductive Health, Rights and Justice Fellowship.
About us: Prairie Action ND (PAND) and Prairie Action ND Institute (PANDI) are statewide, multi-issue organizations working to unite, empower, and enhance the progressive voice in North Dakota. We are an integral part of North Dakota’s progressive infrastructure, specializing  in policy-driven communication strategies and tactics. One of our major issue areas is reproductive health care, with a particular focus on abortion rights.
Fellowship Description: The Reproductive Health, Rights and Justice Fellowship program aims to ground emerging community activists in social change work that develops grassroots organizing, communication and leadership skills. We are seeking fellows, who are strong reproductive rights supporters (pro-choice) and to support and grow North Dakota’s reproductive freedom coaltion.
Our fellows will gain knowledge on running digital campaigns around social justice issues; historical and current issues in the reproductive rights, health, and justice movement; persuasive and motivational writing techniques; media relations; graphic design; current news; and political advocacy.  A variety of work-learning opportunities will be offered. For example, PANDI and PAND run several social media accounts on platforms that include Facebook, Instagram and are looking to launch on Twitter and TikTok. Our fellows are part of a creative team producing content for these platforms related to current issues in reproductive health and rights, including abortion access.
Work collaboratively with other fellow, staff, and coalition partners to learn how to:
  • Build social media content and strategies to increase digital reach for our priority campaigns.
  • Create engaging content across various social media channels, i.e. Instagram posts & stories, Facebook graphics, and TikToks.
  • Create graphics and social media toolkits for statewide public education campaigns.
  • Capitalize on research skills to stay up to date on reproductive health care trends.
  • Develop projects related to publicity, events, trainings and media outreach.
  • Participate in reproductive rights coalitions and campaigns.
Time Commitment: The fellowship is for 6 months with a start date of January 1, 2023. Fellows are expected to commit 10-15 hours per week. There are 2 fellowships available.

Compensation: $1,000 monthly stipend (course credit allowed)
