Learn to Leverage our Collective Power!

JAN Sol Sat 2023

January 3, 2023

Grassroots activism is when ordinary people take actions meant to demonstrate public opinion or demands and spark political change. We invite you to join January’s Solidarity Saturday ‘Advocacy 101: A Guide to Grassroots Advocacy during the ND Legislative Session’ to inspire you to leverage your voice for collective power. Register now for Solidarity Saturday on January 14th at 10 am CST.

In this virtual 1-hour training you will learn about North Dakota’s state legislative process, opportunities and tools for grassroots advocacy, how to use your voice to fight for change and ways to build power together. Personal experiences and opinions are vital to influencing policy, while creating a more inclusive democracy so join us to learn more!

The training will feature:

  • Jessica Haak Edland, Former North Dakota State Legislator and North Dakota Farmers Union Membership Director.
  • Amy Jacobson, Executive Director of Prairie Action North Dakota
  • Cody Schuler, Advocacy Manager of ACLU North Dakota
  • Katie Christensen, North Dakota State Director of Planned Parenthood North Central States.

Solidarity Saturday connects people from across the state to leverage their collective power.
