A free virtual event set Saturday aims to help North Dakota voters learn about statewide ballot measures ahead of Election Day.
The event, organized by Prairie Action North Dakota Institute, is at 10 a.m. Saturday via Zoom. It will focus on statewide ballot measures 2, 4 and 5.
Measure 2 would reform the process for voter-initiated measures to change the state constitution. Measure 4 would abolish property taxes based on assessed value. Measure 5 would legalize recreational marijuana for adults.
The event also will discuss a sales tax measure on the Fargo ballot related to funding police and fire departments.
A recent poll by the North Dakota News Cooperative found that many North Dakota voters are undecided about the ballot measures.
The event is part of a series called Amplify North Dakota that is held at 10 a.m. Central on the third Saturday of every month.
Attendees must register in advance.
